Titus | Knowledge That Leads to Godliness (Titus 1:1-4) | John Baker

<p>Knowing the truth <u><em><strong>never</strong></em></u> permits us to abdicate our responsibility to walk faithfully in it. </p><p>In Titus 1:1-4, Paul teaches that the gospel is not just a set of doctrines to understand but the truth of God that leads to godliness. Our salvation was promised before time, accomplished through Jesus, and revealed in God’s perfect timing, so our hope rests securely in the God who cannot lie. The same grace that saves us also reshapes our character, habits, relationships, work, and witness. Who and what we believe should inevitably change how we live.</p><p>This sermon calls us to identify one area where our lives do not reflect the truth we profess and, relying on Christ’s finished work and the Spirit’s power, take one small but concrete step of obedience every day this week:</p><ol><li><strong>Inquire: </strong>Where is my life not reflecting the truth I say I believe, and how is God calling me to be <strong>1%</strong> more faithful today?</li><li><strong>Identify:</strong> Write down <strong>one</strong> area God brings to mind; not multiple. Just one!</li><li><strong>Initiate:</strong> Choose <strong>one</strong> practical step of obedience for the day. Don&#39;t overcomplicate it!</li><li><strong>Invite:</strong> Ask <strong>one</strong> person to keep you accountable daily. No man is an island!</li></ol><p>Don’t overestimate what can change in a day, and don’t underestimate what God can do through small acts of daily faithfulness over a lifetime.</p>
