The message presses against the cultural assumption that personal autonomy is the highest authority and instead argues that life finds meaning only when we live before God with reverence, surrender, and trust.</p><p><br></p><p>Drawing from Ecclesiastes 12:9-14, the sermon frames the teacher’s hard words as a mercy. Like a shepherd’s goad, they may sting, but they are meant to drive us toward wisdom, away from self-rule, and into the fear of the Lord.</p>
