Ordinary People

<p>God rarely speaks through thunder or an audible voice—more often, He speaks through the ordinary people already standing next to us. Walking through the life of King David, this message highlights three ways God works through others: He <em>calls</em> through people (Samuel anointing an overlooked shepherd boy as king), <em>comforts</em> through people (Jonathan finding David in the wilderness and helping him find strength in God), and <em>convicts</em> through people (Nathan confronting David after Bathsheba—conviction meant to shape us, not shame us).</p><p>The challenge is to respond in three ways: learn to <em>discern</em> which people God has placed in your life on purpose, learn to <em>listen</em> when they offer encouragement or correction, and learn to <em>speak</em> truth and comfort into others before it&#39;s too late. It closes with an invitation to reflection, repentance, and the comfort found in Jesus.</p>
