Who Were the Nephilim?

We're continuing our summer road trip through the Faculty Podcast archives, and have encountered one of our favorite episodes. This week, we're asking, "who were the Nephilim?" Genesis 6 tells us that these creatures are somehow associated with the "sons of God" marrying the "daughters of men." Is this a reference to angelic beings? Or is there a more ordinary explanation for what's going on? What does this tell us about the historicity of Genesis as a whole?

If you'd like to continue conversations like these in the classroom, why not register for a class ?
