Season 7 Episode 196: Interview with Ruby Dice

We talked with Ruby about her collaborative album “Take Me Back” with fellow Austin artists and the documentary that goes along with it,“Making a Life Out of Art.” The album is available everywhere now and the documentary to follow. Ruby wanted to highlight the wonderful community of Austin through hers and other’s eyes.

Austin-based Americana artist and Best Bassist in Austin Ruby Dice released her new album, Take Me Back, on August 28, 2026. Blending Colorado grit with Texas soul and rooted in Americana, country, blues, and rock, Take Me Back features collaborations with acclaimed artists including Shinyribs, Suzanna Choffel, Nakia, Jordan Matthew Young, Grey Horse, Scott Strickland, SeanMcHargue, Garrett Jay Brown, and Sophia Johnson.
