Topic: You’ve likely heard of “free-range parenting” that many reject because it seems dangerous and reckless. Then there’s “helicopter parenting” that is also rebuffed because there is some evidence that over-involvement of parents in their child’s life may cause a child to end up anxious and dependent. So, what’s the middle ground and how can parents get to that sweet spot that allows children to develop independence and confidence while parents still give proper oversight.
