Joseph Cotten stars as Lew Hendricks, a prominent New York criminal lawyer whose volatile relationship with nightclub performer Carmen draws on every bit of his legal knowledge and courtroom instinct. Adapted by Robert Tallman from the 1934 Ben Hecht–Charles MacArthur film, the drama was directed and produced by William Spier.
