Each Piece Put On With Prayer

You may be familiar with the song “Stand Up, Stand Up for Jesus.” It was written in 1858 and, in particular, was a hymn reminding people to stand up for Jesus and against slavery. It was considered a spiritual battle that could only be won through prayer.

We are involved in a battle for the cause of Christ that demands each piece of gospel armor. It is prayer that holds it all together. Paul wraps up his teaching on spiritual warfare by reminding us to pray. “Pray always with all prayer and

supplication in the Spirit.”
