Opening: Welcome to Teatime with Miss Liz, where we bring real stories, real experiences, and real conversations to the table. Tonight we’re talking about something every human being carries: Differences. Differences in our experiences.
Differences in our identities.
Differences in how we lead, communicate, learn, struggle and succeed. My guest, Ashley T. Brundage, has built her work around a powerful idea—that our differences don’t have to divide us. They can become sources of empowerment. Ashley knows transformation personally. After experiencing a year and a half of homelessness, she entered banking as a part-time teller and rose into national leadership, eventually serving as a vice president in Diversity, Equity and Inclusion at PNC Bank. Today, she’s the CEO of Empowering Differences, an international speaker, author, researcher and leadership development expert who helps people and organizations understand empowerment in practical measurable ways. She’s also a mom raising two teenage boys while building a company and taking her message around the world.
And most importantly, it can be shared. Ashley T. Brundage’s journey—from homelessness to corporate leadership, entrepreneurship and international advocacy—shows how dramatically circumstances can change when opportunity, action, resilience and empowerment intersect. But perhaps the larger lesson is that leadership isn’t about creating a room where everyone becomes the same. It’s about creating a room where people don’t have to erase what makes them different in order to contribute.

<a href="https://www.facebook.com/hashtag/teatimewithmissliz?__cft__[0]=AZhOAivLyhDVcDCmBkkqx9muOKDB7zvIOcUSmfReDVmf2Za4RifFbq2UG3AmKOOu3vMt8hFPtvAqUvbityk3u
