Daniel 2: The Kingdom That Will Never Be Destroyed | Sunday Bible Study
What did Nebuchadnezzar's mysterious image reveal about the future of human kingdoms—and what is the meaning of the stone “cut out without hands”?
In this continuation of Daniel Chapter 2, Joe returns to Nebuchadnezzar's prophetic dream and examines the succession of kingdoms represented by gold, silver, brass, iron, and finally the strange mixture of iron and clay.
The study takes a closer look at Daniel 2:43 and the mysterious statement that “they shall mingle themselves with the seed of men,” comparing the passage with other portions of Scripture while clearly distinguishing biblical text from interpretation and speculation.
But the central message of Daniel 2 isn't speculation. It is hope.
Daniel tells Nebuchadnezzar that the kingdoms of men will ultimately give way to a Kingdom established by God—a Kingdom that will never be destroyed. The stone cut out without hands becomes the focus of the study as Joe examines its connection to Jesus Christ and His coming Kingdom, along with Isaiah's description of a world transformed under His rule.
The chapter concludes with Nebuchadnezzar acknowledging Daniel's God as “a God of gods, and a Lord of kings,” while raising another important question: Who is truly worthy of worship?
