FOR GOD'S SAKE, ANDY — IS THIS IT?! Two days of Andy Burnham in the Commons and I'm already losing the will to live! Britain needs BIG answers.

We're staring at serious economic problems, immigration remains one of the biggest issues in the country, public services are creaking and we've seen shocking disorder on our streets. And what does our new political messiah appear to be offering us? CHEAPER BUS FARES! Give me strength!

He talks about cutting VAT on electricity. He talks about bringing utilities back under public control. He wants more devolution. More power for councils. More money for some train drivers. Lovely! BUT WHO THE HELL IS PAYING FOR ALL OF THIS?! That's the bit I want to hear, Andy.

You want utilities back under public control? Fine. HOW MUCH? WHERE'S THE MONEY? You want to give councils even more power? Have you seen the state of some of them?! Birmingham struggled to EMPTY THE BINS! Across Britain we've got roads that resemble obstacle courses because councils can't even FIX THE POTHOLES! And these are the people we're supposed to give MORE power to?!

Meanwhile, what about the questions millions of people actually want answered?

WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO ABOUT ILLEGAL MIGRATION? What are you going to do about lawlessness and serious disorder in our towns and cities? Where's the plan to get the economy moving? Where's the serious plan for growth? Where's the vision? Where's the LEADERSHIP?!

I don't want another TikTok politician. I don't want another bloke telling me there's jam tomorrow while asking me to admire the label on the jar today. Britain doesn't need another PR operation. It needs somebody prepared to make difficult decisions and tell us exactly how they're going to pay for them.]

Maybe I've finally worked out Andy's masterplan. BORE US TO DEATH! Break our spirit. Wear us down. Keep talking until the entire country screams: ALL RIGHT, ANDY — WE SURRENDER! Because after only TWO DAYS, mate, you're doing a bloody good job of it!

And then there's the fundamental problem hanging over the whole thing: NO MANDATE. NO PLAN. NO VISION. NO CLUE. And surrounded by a Cabinet that has hardly set my pulse racing. Is THIS really the great new beginning we were promised? Because right now it looks suspiciously like the same old political circus — just with a different ringmaster.
