This week in the Niche Cache we celebrate Southland Sharks winning the NBL championship with excellent coaching, strong imports and a few impressive kiwis in Sam Timmins, Tobias Cameron and Tukaha Cooper. Then we roll through a Dragons NRL win vs Sharks and NZ Warriors defence that has seen them restrict lots of opponents to less than 20 points including Panthers on Friday night. We react to the news that Abby Erceg will join Wellington Phoenix Women this season and chat about a bunch of New Zealand footballers performing well in Europe with Zac Jones and Callum McCowatt leading the way. The NZ-A cricket squad was announced for their Aussie adventure and it features three guys yet to play for Blackcaps in Matt Boyle, Max Chu and Zak Gibson. Nick Kelly's strong form continues and Rishika Jaswal leads the women's movers in domestic cricket.
