In weather, Sydney is waking up to jumper conditions. The CBD is sitting around 11.2°C on the way to 18°C, Parramatta starts at 11.5°C with the same top of 18°C, while Bondi is a touch milder at 12°C, heading for 17°C with the chance of a morning shower. If you’re near the coast, it’s a good idea to keep a brolly handy.

On the roads, delays are building in several key areas. A multi-vehicle crash on the M1 Pacific Motorway at Cowan, southbound just past the Pacific Highway overpass, has closed lanes two and three of three, causing heavy delays for drivers coming from the Central Coast. At Homebush, another multi-vehicle crash on the M4 eastbound just past the tunnel entrance has closed lane three of three, with heavy traffic and a 40 km/h speed limit in place. In Jamisontown, a car breakdown on Mulgoa Road northbound at Jamison Road is affecting the right-turn lane.

The bright spot this morning is public transport. Sydney Trains and Metro are running normally, with no reported delays or incidents. Johnny Rocket marks the rare run of smooth services and reminds commuters to enjoy it while it lasts.
