Today, I’m breaking down why trust is more valuable than virality. I’ve had posts reach more than a million people in a day, but that attention disappears just as quickly as it arrives. You cannot build a lasting business around something you cannot predict or control.

I’d rather have the trust of the right people than the attention of millions of people who do not know me, need what I offer, or have any reason to remember me. Trust compounds through consistent delivery and reliability, and that trust creates relationships, revenue, referrals, and repeated opportunities.
