French Words
A popular trend among the 60’s pop and rock musicians was to add some French language to songs believing that it would create a touch of continental flair. The playlist this week FRENCH WORDS includes songs that have incorporated some sound of French. Stevie Wonder, ABBA, Ames Brothers, Fontane Sisters and Australian Jigsaw have French titled songs while Plastic Bertrand and Eartha Kitt deliver their popular songs entirely in French. The Electric Light Orchestra, the Beatles and Donovan have included French verses and Labelle’s and Chuck Berry’s songs contain French sentences.
Hope you enjoy French Words.
