Sunday Title 2nd Service: “Dead to Sin Alive to God”

What does it really mean for a believer to be “dead to sin” and “alive to God”? In this teaching, we examine what Scripture means by the “old man,” how Romans 6 connects our death with Christ to justification, why the believer can have confidence that death no longer has true dominion, and what it means practically to reckon ourselves dead to sin but alive to God. We also consider the continuing battle with the sin nature, the importance of confession and fellowship with God, the work of the Holy Spirit, and why being “in Christ” should change how we live every day.
