What does it really mean to be baptized into Christ Jesus? And if God’s grace abounds over sin, does grace somehow give believers an excuse to continue living in sin? Our new identity in Christ should lead us toward a life increasingly shaped by the Word of God and the power of the Holy Spirit. This teaching examines the relationship between grace and sin, what it means to die to sin, the distinction between water baptism and being baptized into Christ, baptism as identification, the baptism of the Holy Spirit, and our identification with the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ.
