Cardinals Offseason Begins: What MUST Change for 2027? | Claibs & Joe

Mike Claiborne and Joe Roderick kick off October by putting a bow on the Cardinals’ 2026 season and looking ahead to what Chaim Bloom and the front office need to accomplish this offseason. Claibs explains why upgrading the pitching staff and bullpen must be a priority, what the Cardinals should do at third base, why it may be time to move on from Nolan Gorman, and which young players have established themselves as pieces of the future.

The guys also turn their attention to the Blues, discussing the team’s new television setup, changes to the roster, Robert Thomas taking over as captain, the importance of improved defensive play, and what it will take for St. Louis to compete for a playoff spot.

Plus, Claibs and Joe break down Mizzou’s loss to Mississippi State and the upcoming matchup with Florida, discuss the increasing pressure on college football coaches, weigh in on the proposed Save College Football Act, and wrap things up with the MLB postseason and what they’ve learned from the Wild Card round.

It’s a packed October edition of Claibs & Joe covering the Cardinals, Blues, Mizzou, college football and the MLB postseason on STL Sports Central.
