Curry Café: Small Towns, Big Action – The Rural Organizing ProjectNuevo59 min

In this episode of Curry Café, hosts Ray Gary and Rick McNamer, joined by KCIW News Director Lori Gallo Stoddard, talk with Stephanie Hunter of the Rural Organizing Project (ROP). Hunter discusses ROP’s 35-year mission to strengthen grassroots democracy and defend election access across rural Oregon, highlighting voter education and their “STAND” election guide. The conversation addresses local challenges, such as healthcare disparities and poverty, while emphasizing nonpartisan community-building through empathetic, neighbor-to-neighbor dialogue.
