<p>Will and Jake spend Labor Day the cowboy way — checkin’ allotments, lookin’ over cows, and takin’ a short break to fish Coney Lake. On the ride back down to the trailhead, they cross paths with a wealthy couple from the city. The wife talks of boutiques and country clubs, but her husband can’t take his eyes off the horses or the quiet, steady way Will and Jake carry themselves.</p><p>A few easy questions, a dry remark from Jake, and the cowboys ride off.
