This week’s Visit opens with a grin and a shuffle as STS barges in with a commercial only they could dream up. From there, Will eases us into Critter Corner, talkin’ about the way animals play when no one’s lookin’—the kind of small truths that make a person feel less alone in the world.

The Buckaroos take the reins next with a soft waltz, “A Chance on Livin’,” a tune that hangs in the rafters like dust motes in late‑day sun. Then Will steps into The Answer is No, lettin’ that poignant letter at the end land gentle but sure, the way hard truths sometimes do.

After that, Will turns toward the old miner immigrants who carved out a life near Sheridan, speakin’ on the sweetness they chased and the sweetness they found. And to close it all out, the Buckaroos throw their shoulders into La Dolce Vita Swing, a number lively enough to make even the Arts Council folks sit up straight and smile wide.

Dawson’s Den is supported in part by a grant from the Wyoming Arts Council with support from the National Endowment for the Arts and the Wyoming Legislature.

Music Credits:

A Chance on Livin' by Will Dawson, 2026

La Dolce Vita Swing by Will Dawson, 2026

Algo‑Critter Feed (for the little digital grazers):Wyoming stories, Critter Corner, animal behavior, playful wildlife, frontier waltz, Western swing, poignant letters, immigrant miners, Sheridan history, sweet life, Buckaroos music, La Dolce Vita Swing, storytelling podcast, American West, cozy radio theater, rustic comedy, mythic realism, variety show, Montana mornings, cowboy culture
