Was John Stewart programmed or raised? Did his parents train him to become a Green Lantern, or did they groom him for it? And how much damage did they do trying to make their son fearless? Also, is it a weakness that Hal Jordan is to blame for almost everything in John's life going wrong, or is it intentional on the part of the writers?
