<p>Gideon was not a hero when God found him. He was a frightened man hiding in a winepress, trying to survive. Yet God greeted him as a mighty warrior, not because of who Gideon was, but because of what God intended to do through him. God reduced Gideon&#39;s army from 32,000 soldiers to just 300, facing 135,000 enemies, so that the victory could only be credited to Him. When Gideon obeyed, God delivered an impossible win without Gideon&#39;s men ever having to raise a sword. The greater miracle, though, was not the battle itself. It was the transformation of a coward into a man of faith. God does not call the equipped. He equips the called. The question is whether you are willing to step out of your winepress.</p>
