Wale Grammy Considerations, Eazy Replies To Papoose, Soulja Boy Announces Presidency Run

In this episode of Effective Immediately, the duo recaps private album listening sessions with John Legend and Lil Baby, with Hed praising Lil Baby’s vulnerable R&B-inspired records, Wale’s involvement in a WNBA Finals song, and a candid breakfast with Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass addressing homelessness, wildfires, and city leadership. They explore how The Drop, Insecure, and Reasonable Doubt authentically represent LA culture before Gina shares her frustrations with California power outages, homeowners insurance cancellations, and the everyday struggles of adulting.

The conversation shifts to Soulja Boy’s reported 2028 presidential ambitions, the ongoing Papoose, Claressa Shields, Remy Ma, and Eazy The Block Captain drama, and the backlash surrounding Eazy’s battle rap loss and diss track. Plus, they react to Netflix’s upcoming Dejan Love scam documentary, defend Summer Walker against criticism over her alleged attitude and edited photos, and make a case for Grammy recognition for Wale’s Everything Is a Lot while continuing the conversation around their growing “EMedia Family” community.
