#191: Turn Your Video Camera On
On today's podcast episode, Dr. Cheryl Hardy discusses maintaining professionalism and connection in our virtual meetings.
There has been a lack of video engagement during our recent Zoom workshops and virtual meetings. As a group of leaders, counselors, and educators, it is disheartening to see how disconnected we have become.
Turning your camera on is not just a technical setting; it is a fundamental act of professional respect and common courtesy. When we engage face-to-face, we foster a sense of community and accountability that is easily lost when we hide behind static icons.
She wonders if our participation would shift if there were a different incentive at play. We must ask ourselves why we prioritize convenience over the quality of our collective work. Life is changing rapidly, and as professionals, we must adapt by maintaining high standards for our virtual interactions.
Let us commit to being fully present and respectful in our upcoming sessions. We are looking forward to you being a part of the God and Therapy Community. To get connected, send me an email and let me know that you want to be included. Please reach out to us at: godandtherapypodcast@gmail.com
