Christian Manifesto ~ Going National/International
This last Monday I posted the last article on the 18-part series: Christian Manifesto ~ God’s Civil Mandate. Most Christian leaders do not know or think about this subject, much less address it. Yet, there are far more verses in both the Old and New Testament addressing this subject than the subjects of baptism and the Lord’s Supper put together. In all the Bible God has ordained only three institutions: Family, Church, and State (Government). And think about this - did God institute any one of His Institutions to be unholy or led by non-Christians?
* Family: The book of Genesis is written only in the context of God’s Family Institution and family dynasties.
* Church: From the book of Acts to the end of the Bible it is written instructing God’s Church Institution.
* State: All the rest of the Bible - Exdous to Acts, 80% of the Bible - is written in giving instructions for God’s State Institution / civil government.
The primary State addressed is Israel, however, ALL the prophets admonish Gentile nations to also honor and obey God and His Law. The book of Psalms alone has over 100 verses addressing the world and all nations to also honor and obey God and His Law.
God did NOT write 80% of His Word addressing how the Nation-State and civil government should be run according to His will, to only have it all ignored today for nations! God’s civil Law for Israel and all nations was the Ten Commandments, Statutes and Judgments.
A person can have no basis to embrace any of the Ten Commandments for civil law and not embrace all of them. And a person can have no basis to embrace the Ten Commandments and not embrace the Statutes which provide the applications for the civil law. And a peron can have no basis to to embrace the Ten Commandments and Statutes and not embrace the Judgments for violating the civil law; otherwise, they are only Ten Suggestons and fantasy Statute applications.
Read about the Paul to know about the church and how godly spiritual leaders should function today. But read about godly civil leaders like David to know about State/Government and how godly civil leaders should function today.
No one should talk about the family if they don’t take the time to read the Bible about what a family should be like … and then go and disciple a family.
No one should talk about the church if they don’t take the time to read the Bible about what a church should be like … and then go and disciple a church.
No one should talk about the nation if they don’t take the time to read the Bible about what a nation should be like … and then go and disciple a nation.
May God motivate you to obey Jesus’s Great Commission and then go and help disciple the nation.
