Reading Between the Lines Week 6 - The Wall Came Down

<p>Grace changes everything, including how we see the people around us. In Ephesians 2, Paul makes clear that the gospel does not only reconcile us to God. It reconciles us to one another. Jesus destroyed the dividing wall of hostility between people who had every reason to remain separated, and He did it through the cross. The ground is level at the foot of the cross, and nobody gets to act like they belong more than someone else. When the barrier comes down, strangers become fellow citizens, fellow citizens become members of God&#39;s household, and together they become a dwelling place for His Spirit. Reconciliation is not a feeling. It is a costly, deliberate choice that reflects what Jesus modeled when He stepped into our hostility and made peace through His own body.</p>
