Sometimes life doesn’t give us time to prepare for loss—it simply happens, and somehow, we’re still expected to keep moving.

This episode of The 4 Opinions took an unexpected and heartfelt turn as we processed the loss of one of KMOJ’s beloved on-air personalities, Chaz the Millionaire, whose voice, music, dedication, and service touched our community for more than 40 years.

We opened the phone lines and gave our community an opportunity to feel, remember, reflect, and give Chaz his flowers for the legacy he leaves behind.

But the conversation became bigger than grief. In a world already carrying so much heaviness, how do we continue showing up for work, family, community, and everyday responsibilities when our hearts haven’t had time to catch up with what just happened?

This episode is a reminder that grief deserves room. Mental health deserves a check-in. And sometimes before asking, “What do I need to do today?” we need to ask, “How am I really doing today?”
