Dr Smash and Dr Craken chat to marine environmental consultant Sarah Brown about the Brian Black Memorial Award for ocean storytelling and journalism. The award was set up in honour of her environmentalist parents Brian and Lesley Black (https://www.ulsterwildlife.org/blog/joe-furphy/remembering-brian-black). Sarah talks about her parent's stories and the history of, and inspiration for the award. If you have an ocean story you would like to tell, send in an entry! The award is open to anyone (not just journalists) and there is also an adults and children's photography section.
