Rita Wilson on “Sound of a Woman” and the Audition That Launched Her Career

Rita Wilson won our hearts in “Sleepless in Seattle” and “That Thing You Do,” as well as producing the sleeper hit “My Big Fat Greek Wedding.” But as she explains to Melissa Rivers, singing and songwriting have truly allowed her to find her voice. Rita talks about creating her fifth studio album, “Sound of a Woman,” and the advice she took from Oprah Winfrey that set her on her path in music. She also looks back at her early days in showbiz and reveals that she never intended to become an actress, until a fluke audition as a cheerleader on “The Brady Bunch” launched her career.
