Egypt's Area 51, the Osireion & Lost Tech with Derek Olson — Part 1 of 3 | Classics Rotation

Derek Olson of Megalithic Marvels joins the host to make the case that our real history has been hidden and that ancient times were not primitive times, drawing on the Egypt tour he had just returned from. If you are curious about pre-dynastic Egypt, the humming "hospital" chambers at Saqqara, the off-limits site Zawyet El Aryan, or the Osireion at Abydos, this opening part covers the Egyptian side of the conversation.

Derek opens by saying his Instagram growth stalled at about 334,000 followers and that, at the time of the original recording, searching "megalithic" turned up nothing, which the host calls a sign he is over the target. He argues that if the powers that be hide today's news, they would also hide our past, notes that Graham Hancock is the one accused of spreading disinformation, and contrasts the art and hieroglyphs of the Valley of the Kings with the bare megalithic interiors of the Giza pyramids. The host describes the shared "construction language" of megaliths from Peru to Egypt, Easter Island and China: nubs, polygonal blocks, scrape and cut marks. Derek explains why Egyptologist and guide Mohamed Ibrahim speaks of "pre-diluvian" ancient Egyptians and of temples built for healing and fertility, and both describe the resonant boxes near the Step Pyramid that seem to hum. Derek then describes Zawyet El Aryan, about three miles from Giza and under military control since the early 1960s, which he says Mohamed calls "Egypt's Area 51," citing photos from a 1904 Italian excavation and Mohamed's account of the word "Saba," which he says translates as stargate. They close with Derek's private tour inside the Osireion and Mohamed's theory, as Derek relays it, that it was an engine powering the pyramids, along with talk of vast tunnels running from Giza toward Aswan.
