UNC’s Coaching Pay vs Player Budget | Tar Heel Basketball News

North Carolina’s football program is spending far less on its roster than most Power Four schools—ranking in the bottom forty percent—while splurging big on coaching salaries, including a $10 million head coach and top-tier coordinators. The gap between coaching pay and player investment could be over $20 million, making it hard to compete for elite talent. Without boosting roster funding, flashy hires won’t move the needle—real progress hinges on who’s on the field, not who’s calling the plays.
