Regional Media Movie Review: Sean Kernan Reviews Social Reckoning

Friday at the Movies with Sean returns on the Hog Country Radio Network, as regional film critic Sean Kernan reviews The Social Reckoning. The film stars Mikey Madison and Jeremy Allen White in a story tied to Facebook, whistleblowing, and the Wall Street Journal series that exposed concerns over Meta’s algorithms. Kernan says the subject is important and worthy of a major film, but the execution falls short. His main criticism centers on Aaron Sorkin’s writing and direction, saying the characters sound too similar and the style overwhelms the story. His verdict: The Social Reckoning is not recommended.
