Wednesday 02 September 2026: Black Ferns Sevens head coach Cory Sweeney on their clash against Australia as a curtain raiser for the Bledisloe Cup

On Sports Fix with D'Arcy Waldegrave for 2 September 2026, it was revealed today that the Black Ferns Sevens side will take on the Australians as a curtain raiser for the All Blacks v Wallabies Bledisloe Cup test in Sydney next month.

This marks the first time an international Sevens match has been played before an All Blacks test.

Cory Sweeney is the head coach of the Black Ferns Sevens, he joined D'Arcy to discuss.
