Prominent televangelist Jim Bakker dies at 86

Televangelist Jim Bakker died Monday at age eighty-six, leaving behind a complicated legacy of influential Christian broadcasting, scandal, prison, and a return to ministry. His story raises a broader question about how we view and treat other people: as individuals to love or as means to our own ends. Living with sacrificial integrity requires more than knowing what is right—it requires a transformation that enables us to put others before ourselves even when doing so comes at a cost.
