Outlaws are terrorizing the frontier town of Greenville—also cataloged as Greeneville—while a nearby cavalry force waits for orders from Washington. When a Pony Express rider carrying those orders is attacked, the Lone Ranger and Tonto become involved in a growing crisis involving Colonel Dawson, the threatened town, and the gang in the surrounding hills.
