Don't Raise Losers: Loser Theology, a talk with Michael Clary

Many churches today are echoing Taylor Swift's sentiment to the church: "calm down." The sound of the surrender in the church begins with pastors taming down their zeal against sin.Michael Clary calls it LOSER THEOLOGY.“The Bible Belt is teetering toward collapse, and I say let it fall.” That’s the attitude Clary confronts in his new book, Loser Theology: Why the Weak Will Not Inherit the Earth.Renton Rathbun speaks with Clary about a church that has learned to dress up retreat as righteousness—and why Christian parents should refuse to pass that surrender on to their children.Clary argues that American Christians accepted a disastrous bargain: believe in Christ, but keep His holiness out of the pulpit. Now we’re watching the consequences of that teaching in the next generation. His challenge is blunt: stop blessing the collapse of the church and start building something worth handing down. Watch Renton and Michael sound the warning signs of the death of churches that seem to be thriving.https://canonpress.com/products/loser-theology?srsltid=AU7gw4UvcqnQP9AuHcxNKIT-IRKJw5PML_1A324j0xI7bP6JTDJLOsaf&_su_rec=luIUPdVuAlKT-8O5c4_i98QwZ6_zPu0DH0bh8dohilVlIiebuDFZ9w_Upa5xeb5wFQ6O0-5o4RvHH57Fbw2Cnz0MP1h9tumB-vu4mjeFnEhyLvjiHQnaHjFtH5SN5q630wRM3btSQri5ZRQ-_p7FnU9cSEjiL0pPl2fdwbDX6K1gsWou0k3KcgHp4Q3A3VKIo7yeWboN1Hpclyefe-GvqWXS8EHG_5iA7YCQ8t3ntd0jllSx0yWPLI4ehibILyrD0XVXM9_6ZA8oJoUNQ1x326Hh63jTSlyM3W09vVuXSgJ9bwu6SxEPNiVTNqrXNFxwgIE&_su_rec_id=309ca541-3dc9-4be7-ac76-fd1d054d33eb-1791321095https://www.amazon.com/Loser-Theology-Christian-High-Agency-Christianity/dp/B0H5T41DWB/ref=sr_1_2?dib=eyJ2IjoiMSJ9.DVc8mOh7zZL5726mq3wdjcdQ85HIz4jDaMT770Xj9I7nX8aHrwR41FQih9QQ3pE6B9jhQI8TSM9KaZyjgrt8pii0bsFn5HtuWpDLWNuJkiRdbClMw9fPH_2eJLtotNPxDLHHkCDRlfb1otvcoIuZ0kVtNkwRij1qdJgpLxFwJ-5QKWFu5xrxlRUraf0PHgym6bzLUVrFXZpa3DaHUvYKUFUv-b5tc5TKjg3S7xGqyjI.xJ8M2bKuom7K2wKJN9vf6KsawM8TPkUVRhczZevf-Yc&dib_tag=se&qid=1791321097&refinements=p_27%3AMichael+Clary&s=books&sr=1-2
