Bobby Rock has held down the kit for Lita Ford, Nelson, and Vinnie Vincent Invasion. He's toured arenas, run drum clinics around the world, and stayed clean for nearly 50 years. But underneath the career is a man whose life has been shaped by things most people never have to survive.

In this conversation, Bobby opens up about getting sober at 13 through a 12-step program — and the insight that changed everything: addiction wasn't the problem, it was a symptom of a misdirected addictive personality, one he learned to point at discipline, craft, and health instead. He walks us through the surreal audition that launched his career, the maddening reverse-order recording of a record he tracked three separate times, and what it actually feels like to walk up the stairs to an arena stage for the first time.

Then there's the hardest part of his story: the violent loss of his pregnant girlfriend in 1993, the public act of forgiveness that followed, and the rage underneath it he spent years learning to face honestly.
