Rob McConnell Interviews - GARY ROBERTSON - The Genuine Being in the Paranormal15 oct42 min

Join Rob McConnell as he welcomes Gary Robertson, author, speaker, pastoral counsellor and researcher into human potential, personal transformation and alternative approaches to emotional well-being. With decades of experience exploring traditional psychology, spiritual development and complementary healing practices, Robertson offers a fascinating perspective on human consciousness, personal identity and the extraordinary possibilities of the human mind.Robertson is the author of Genuine Being, Resolving Ego and Adventures with Master Leeney. His work explores the relationship between childhood experiences, emotional conditioning, personal beliefs and the development of an authentic sense of self. He has also served as director of the Springs Foundation, a nonprofit organization established to explore approaches associated with energy psychology and energy medicine.Robertson's interest in personal transformation began during the human potential movement of the late 1960s. He subsequently studied approaches including Gestalt therapy, Transactional Analysis, reparenting and various complementary healing practices. These experiences helped shape his belief that lasting personal change requires more than simply understanding one's problems intellectually. According to Robertson, individuals must examine the emotional patterns and unresolved experiences that influence their relationships, decisions and perceptions of reality. At the centre of his philosophy is the concept of Genuine Being—the idea that people can move beyond socially conditioned identities, defensive behaviours and limiting beliefs to discover a more authentic understanding of themselves. Robertson's approach also explores the relationship between psychology and spirituality, including questions about consciousness, intuition, personal energy and the possibility that human experience extends beyond conventional material explanations. His work challenges established assumptions about emotional healing and the nature of the human personality. Although some of his methods draw upon recognized psychological concepts, claims that energy medicine or related techniques can cure serious psychiatric conditions are not supported by sufficient reliable clinical evidence. Such approaches should not replace evidence-based medical or mental-health treatment.
