Does My Life Actually Feel Like Mine?10 oct21 min

Not whether I’m grateful. Not whether I’ve accomplished the things I was supposed to.

I mean… if nobody else were looking, would I choose this life?

Because we spend years building our lives. We make the responsible choices, take care of people, create routines, buy the house, fill the calendar, and become really good at being the woman our lives need us to be.

And then one day, we look around and realize we’ve changed.

So what happens when the woman who built the life isn’t exactly the same woman who lives in it anymore?

In this episode, I’m thinking about the things we keep simply because we’ve always had them—the routines, the clothes, the expectations, the identities, even the idea of who we think we are.

Maybe we don’t need a completely new life.

Maybe we just need to make the life we already have feel a little more like us.

Because at 55, I’m becoming less interested in explaining my choices and more interested in asking whether they still feel right.

So grab your coffee and sit with me for a minute.

Does your life actually feel like yours?
