Find Your Way to Sabbath Rest (October 4, 2026)4 oct44 min

Guest speaker Ashley Chance uses the familiar experience of maps and GPS to illustrate how Scripture helps us understand where we came from, where we are now, and where we are going.

Exploring Hebrews 3–4 and the biblical theme of Sabbath, Ashley traces rest from creation, through Israel’s redemption from Egypt, and ultimately to Jesus Christ. Sabbath reminds us that we are finite, dependent creatures made in God’s image—and that our identity and worth are not determined by what we produce.

Through Christ, believers enter God’s rest by trusting in His finished work rather than trying to earn God’s acceptance. At the same time, a future rest remains: the day when Christ returns, sin and death are defeated, and all things are made new.

Ashley encourages us to live faithfully in this “already and not yet” reality—receiving Christ’s rest now while anticipating its fullness in the future.

The message closes with a reminder to remember, receive, and anticipate: remember Christ’s sacrifice, receive His grace, and look forward to His return.
