Episode 1009: Empress of Mars

NASA discovers a message reading GOD SAVE THE QUEEN under the ice on Mars’ surface. The Doctor, Bill, and Nardole get to Mars and find Victorian Soldiers in a conflict with one of the Doctor’s oldest foes.

A group of Victorian soldiers have been brought to Mars by an Ice Warrior that they have named Friday. He has promised them riches that wait under the Martian soil. But there’s more than treasure that lies beneath the surface. As they dig, The Doctor begins to suspect that everyone is looking for something different…In the process they unearth (or unmars) the tomb of the Ice Empress of the Ice Warriors…who, of course is woken up – giving new meaning to God Save The Queen!
