Humans Have Algorithms Too: How Our Patterns Shape the Way We Live, Think, and Connect

**Humans Have Algorithms Too: How Our Patterns Shape the Way We Think and Relate**

What if the algorithms affecting your life aren’t only found on Facebook, TikTok, YouTube, or the technology surrounding us? What if human beings have algorithms of their own?

In this Thursday Night Sermon from Eye Opener Society, Gary Dean explores the fascinating connection between technology, human behavior, relationships, consciousness, and personal awareness. Social media algorithms learn from our behavior, studying what captures our attention and what keeps us engaged. But as human beings, we also develop patterns based on our experiences, beliefs, fears, expectations, relationships, and the way we interpret the world around us.

Over time, those patterns can become automatic.

We may begin reacting to people based not on who they actually are, but on what our personal experiences have taught us to expect. We can develop assumptions about others, repeat relationship patterns, seek information that confirms what we already believe, and respond emotionally before we ever stop to question why.

In other words, we can become programmed by our own experiences.

This sermon takes a deeper look at **human behavior, social media algorithms, consciousness, spirituality, self-awareness, relationships, personal growth, emotional patterns, confirmation bias, and the ways our internal programming influences the reality we experience.**

Rather than simply asking what technology is doing to us, this conversation asks a more personal question:

**What algorithm are you running?**

Are you responding to the person who is actually standing in front of you, or are you responding to everything your past has taught you to expect? Are you seeing what is really there, or are you automatically filtering the world through an established pattern?

Sometimes changing our experience doesn’t begin with changing everyone around us. Sometimes it begins with becoming aware of the patterns operating within ourselves.

Join Eye Opener Society for this thought-provoking Thursday Night Sermon as we look at algorithms from a completely different perspective and explore what happens when we begin examining the programming within ourselves.
