Fort Laramie - "Dont Kick My Horse" (Old Time Radio, 1956)

Fort Laramie presents “Don’t Kick My Horse,” episode 19 of the CBS radio series, originally broadcast June 3, 1956. Raymond Burr stars as Captain Lee Quince in this Norman MacDonnell-produced and directed drama, written by Les Crutchfield.

When Private Joby Turler’s beloved cavalry mare, Bella Shannon, is placed on a remount order after going lame, he appeals to Captain Quince for help. As Quince readies a reconnaissance patrol into the Broken Plains country, duty, judgment, and a trooper’s bond with his horse come into conflict.

Fort Laramie presents the original broadcast with a newly produced contextual introduction, a short closing announcement, and gently cleaned/mastered audio for a more consistent listening experience.
