How To Prioritize Your Life? | 12Stone Church
In this message, we look at what Jesus teaches in Matthew 6 about prioritizing our lives and what it means to seek God first in the middle of our busy schedules. Life is full of demands. Between work, family, relationships, responsibilities, and everything competing for our attention, it’s easy to feel stressed, anxious, and overwhelmed. But Jesus reminds us that life isn’t about trying to do everything on our own. It’s about putting first things first. When we seek God’s Kingdom and His righteousness before our own plans and priorities, we begin to experience life the way God designed it. Putting God first doesn’t necessarily make life less busy, but it changes how we walk through the busyness. You’ll learn how to: • Prioritize God in the middle of a busy schedule • Understand why putting God first is about priority, not quantity of time • Build your life around God, family, work, and personal time • Recognize when you’ve been carrying the weight of life on your own • Make intentional time with God through prayer and His Word In Matthew 6, Jesus challenges us to seek first the Kingdom of God rather than allowing the worries of life to determine our priorities. Our Heavenly Father knows what we need, and He invites us to trust Him instead of trying to carry everything ourselves. So often, we build our schedules around what we want to accomplish and give God whatever time is left over. But God was never meant to be an addition to our lives. He is meant to be the foundation on which everything else is built. Jesus modeled this Himself. Even with the weight of the world on His shoulders and people constantly demanding His attention, He intentionally made time to be alone with His Father in prayer. The question isn’t simply how much time you’re spending with God. It’s whether you’re making Him your first priority. What do you seek first with your time?
