Funeral in Tuscaloosa? | Week 3 Predictions

<p>Week 3 is here, and the 4th and Inches crew is breaking down another huge weekend of college football with predictions, trash talk, and plenty of chaos.</p><p>Mills, Byrd, and Coach Joe D. kick things off with some Godby football talk before Byrd recaps his cruise — including a pitcher of margaritas that apparently forgot to include the alcohol. Then it’s time to get into the games.</p><p>First up is one of the biggest matchups of the weekend: LSU vs. Ole Miss. The guys discuss Lane Kiffin’s return, LSU’s dominant defensive front, Trinidad Chambliss and the Ole Miss offense, and whether this one turns into a shootout. Despite some hesitation, all three guys end up riding with LSU in a close one.</p><p>Next, Miami heads to Wake Forest for a Friday night matchup. The crew talks about Miami’s hot start, its explosive offense, defensive injuries, and the Hurricanes’ massive new Nike deal. Even Mills has to admit Miami looks dangerous, with all three hosts expecting the Hurricanes to handle Wake Forest.</p><p>Then things get heated when the conversation turns to Florida State. Mills lets out some frustration over the direction of the program, FSU’s recent decisions, Mike Norvell’s future, the changes in the athletic department, and even the infamous moving truck spotted outside Norvell’s house. With the Seminoles heading into Tuscaloosa to face Alabama, Mills reluctantly rides with FSU in a close game, while Byrd and Coach Joe predict Alabama gets revenge in a big way — with Coach calling it a potential “funeral.”<br>Finally, Florida travels to Jordan-Hare Stadium to face Auburn in the SEC opener for both programs. The guys break down the battle between first-year head coaches John Sumrall and Alex Golesh, the importance of Jaden Baugh and Florida’s rushing attack, and the challenge of containing Auburn quarterback Byron Brown.
