In this segment of Notorious Mass Effect, Analytic Dreamz examines Olivia Rodrigo and Chappell Roan’s “expectations” remix released October 15, 2026. The track from Rodrigo’s No. 1 album you seem pretty sad for a girl so in love originally peaked at No. 20 on the Billboard Hot 100. This marks Rodrigo’s first official remix and Roan’s first feature, with Roan adding a new verse that shifts the dating-standards theme toward a queer perspective. Analytic Dreamz breaks down the album’s 485K-unit debut, 2M-plus U.S. sales, vinyl success, the retro game-show music video, and the collaboration’s cross-audience impact rooted in their shared history and producer Dan Nigro.
