Two Sport Athletes

Braves Historian Sam Wallace returns to Behind the Braves to explore the rare athletes talented enough to compete at the highest level in more than one sport. Sam shares the stories of Braves who also played professional football and basketball, including Jim Thorpe, Deion Sanders, Brian Jordan, Gene Conley and Ron Reed, while discussing what made these athletes so exceptional and why we may never see their kind again. Plus, the guys look at other Braves with multi-sport backgrounds and how skills developed in other sports can translate to the baseball diamond.
