Kevin Rudd’s Homecoming - Live From Eumundi Writer’s Festival

Take me home, country roads! Former Prime Minister Kevin Rudd returns to his rural Queensland hometown for the 2026 Eumundi Writer's Festival. After wrapping up his high-profile tenure as Australia's Ambassador To Washington D.C - Mr Rudd joins Clancy Overell from The Betoota Advocate on stage at the Imperial Hotel in Eumundi for live interview about his life, politics, and relationship with Xi Jinping. This is a real stroll down memory lane for both Kevin and the locals in the audience, as the global President and CEO of the Asia Society recalls stories about his barefoot post-war childhood on a dairy farm in the semi-tropical Hinterland.
