Overcoming Backsliding And Idolatry

Overcoming Backsliding And Idolatry

This Sunday message by Pastor (Dr) W.F. Kumuyi explores the spiritual dangers of backsliding and idolatry, drawing parallels between the ancient Israelites and modern believers. It emphasises that anything prioritised above God—whether wealth, relationships, or personal ambitions—constitutes a punishable form of idolatry that can lead to being blotted out of the Book of Life. Believers are urged to maintain absolute spiritual purity, overcome the fear of human judgment, and anchor their lives entirely in divine commandments. Ultimately, the message calls for genuine repentance, wholehearted devotion to Christ, and diligent adherence to His teachings in order to secure eternal salvation.
